the vibe
Inspired by the vintage yet authentic nature of Latin American and Caribbean culture, our mood is set by art, food and lifestyle pieces authentic to the experience.
the space
Designed by interior designer Robin Rodriguez of Mi Clandestina, every corner of Casa Culturas is meticulously styled creating an atmosphere that inspires creativity and appreciation for art, gardening, and culture.
the inspiration
Inspired by a legacy of love and resilience, Casa Culturas stands as a symbol of triumph over adversity. Founded in 1987, the house in Petworth Washington, DC witnessed the Manzueta family's journey from hardship to hope. In stark contrast to the vibrant community it is today, the neighborhood and home can speak many tales of challenges faced, but within these walls, the family found unity and joy.
Driven by a desire to honor his parents' legacy and create a brighter future, Dr. Victor Manzueta transformed the space into a haven of creativity and cultural celebration. Every detail reflects their commitment to fostering a space where guests can feel at home, inspired, and connected to something greater.
As a Salvadorian/Dominican immersed in AI and IT, Victor understands the transformative power of STEM education on the community. That's why Casa Culturas goes beyond profit, supporting a STEM education scholarship fund for the Latin community. Join us at Casa Culturas—a home where every stay is infused with love, history, and the promise of possibility.
